The Handler 135 is Hobarts welders lightweight 115-volt machine. It markets in the five hundred dollar range. The Hobart Handler 135 weighs only fifty five pounds and welds low-carbon steel from thin 22 gauge to 3/16 inch thick. It comes out of the box ready to weld with flux-core wire, and it's equipped with a gas regulator and solenoid valve, plus the associated hardware for using the welder with shielding gas.

It's worth noting, in case you've never used a wire-feed welder with shielding gas, that you would have to buy or fabricate a welding cart to make gas shielding practical. Small wire-feed welders such as Hobart's, are impractical without a means of holding up the tank for the shielding gas. Sure, you could position the welder on a bench and chain the tank to a column or to wall brackets, but then you'd be forced to always bring the work to the welder, and that's not always possible.
